Aabhas Maldahiyar is a self-taught historian, design-thinker, architect, and published author whose multidisciplinary journey bridges the built environment with the foundations of civilizational memory. He is a founding member of the Foundation for Indian Historical and Cultural Research, an initiative committed to rewriting historical discourse through rigorous, primary-source-driven scholarship. Once a committed Marxist, Aabhas's intellectual transformation began in the painted silence of the Ajanta Caves — where ancient Indian artistry quietly dismantled ideological dogmas. What followed was a deep and relentless pursuit of historical truth, moving beyond Western frameworks to uncover indigenous voices buried in manuscripts and forgotten archives. His debut non-fiction book, #Modi Again: An Ex-Communist's Manifesto (2019), marked the beginning of his public ideological shift, weaving personal narrative with political analysis.

His passion for history, informed by his architectural sensibilities, led him to explore the past not merely as a scholar but as a storyteller who sees buildings and manuscripts as breathing legacies. Aabhas is a skilled reader of Persian and has dedicated years to working with rare manuscripts. His Timurid Gūrkāniyān series reclaims the complex legacy of Babur through primary texts. Babur: The Chessboard King introduced this monumental effort, and its powerful sequel, Babur: The Quest for Hindustan (2025), continues the project with even deeper historical retrieval and literary finesse.
