Ami Ganatra is an alumna of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and VJTI, Mumbai. She is the author of the bestselling Unravelled series—Mahabharata Unravelled (Volumes 1 and 2) and Ramayana Unravelled—which have been translated into several Indian languages. Rather than imaginative retellings, her work is defined by a commitment to the original Sanskrit texts, presenting their insights and nuances with a focus on contemporary relevance.

In her fourth book, Why Are We This Way, Ami has expanded her focus beyond the epics to introduce the vast landscape of the Hindu Shastras for the modern seeker. Beyond her work for adults, she has also authored several children's books, including Avadhut and His Teachers, My Friend Arjun, and My Sister Devi, aimed at making value-based learning accessible and engaging for young readers.
